IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

One section of the USA Patriot Act says we must:

• Verify the identity of any person seeking to open an account (which includes Trust, Investments, Safe Deposit, Loans and Deposit Accounts).
• Maintain records of information used to verify the person's identity including name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.

Morrill and Janes Bank will follow this Federal law by verifying picture identification card(s), such as your driver's license or other identifying documents. In some cases, picture identification will be requested for existing customers because original documentation was not obtained when the account was opened. In all cases, protection of our customer's identity and confidentiality is the Bank's pledge to you.
